Contractor Payroll Options
As a Sapphire Technologies contractor, you have three structures available for payroll:
- PAYG (Pay As You Go) income earners through Sapphire Technologies
- Your own company
- A management company
PAYG
Sapphire Technologies will process your pay, cover you for the necessary insurances (ie. workers compensation, public liability and, if required, professional indemnity), make the deduction and taxes and superannuation and issue pay advices and payment summaries. This option is fee-free to Sapphire contractors.
Own Company/Sole Trader & Partnership
Temporary and contractor staff who wish to be paid through their own company must supply all the required documentation to Sapphire Technologies prior to commencing any assignment. This option is fee-free to Sapphire Technologies contractors.
Documentation required
- Contractor Letter to be paid as a company
- Certificate of registration of company name
- Certificate of workers compensation
Management Company
Services provided by a management company include all administration processes, including invoicing, collection of fees, calculation and payment of the relevant taxes, superannuation, workers compensation, public liability and professional indemnity insurance if required, vehicle leasing, tax returns
and independent investment and financial advice. Some also provide additional client services which include paid annual ACS membership, training programs and a Presidential Benefits Program, which provides discounted services and goods, including travel, accommodation and entertainment. A management
fee is applicable on this option.
