Caroline Casey - Senior Account Manager, Sydney

Caroline Casey joined the Sapphire Technologies team in May 2002 and has a total of 10 years ICT recruitment experience, as well as a further five years within ICT sales and customer service environments.

During the last 10 years Caroline has been dedicated to managing the ICT staffing requirements of large corporate accounts. Caroline's core focus is to understand her clients' needs, build relationships and assist her clients find solutions to staffing challenges. We talk to Caroline to get her perspective on working at Sapphire Technologies.

What is it like working for Sapphire Technologies?
I have been working with the Sapphire Technologies for five years. It is the most friendly and flexible place to work that I have ever experienced. They understand the balance between work and your personal life. They expect a lot but reward accordingly. There is lots of fun and banter but it remains professional and a good place to work.

Do you have good working relationships with your clients?
Yes, for one client I am the recruiter of choice after building a solid relationship with them over the five years I have worked for Sapphire Technologies. They come to me for advice in what is happening in the marketplace. They trust that I will never send a CV just for the sake of sending a CV.

What makes your clients come back to you again and again?
Having an honest, working relationship and being able to monitor their expectations. You have to work in a partnership with a client and a general business solution. It is not just about finding candidates but about business advice, such as assessing how to reduce their contractor / temporary workforce.

Do you feel like you are part of the Sapphire Technologies business?
There is a great deal of correspondence within the Sapphire Technologies business in Australia. I talk to the Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne offices on a regular basis. We also forward CVs onto New Zealand if a candidate is looking to relocate.

Can you name the successes that Sapphire Technologies has had with their clients?
Sapphire Technologies has so many high profile clients that they have built successful relationships with. This attracts great candidates who want to work for a high profile client.
